SUNDAY'S (No show Feb. 2)
7:00 to 10:00 PM - ST. PAUL
AL'S PLACE - SPEAKEASY, FRIDAY'S at 7:00 PM & SATURDAY'S at 6:00 pm, NORTHEAST, MINNEAPOLIS, MN
ABOUT AL'S PLACE: There are secretive bars. Then there are speakeasies. Then there’s Al’s Place. The Al’s experience starts with finding the door. There are two: Find the green light on the outside of the building at Lowry & University for a direct entrance, or go through the ground-floor restaurant. Diners are greeted by a doorman who will go over the ground rules and then a maître d’ in full 1920s attire. Walk through the fog and find a table, belly up to the bar or reserve the best seat in the 75-seat restaurant, a large booth known as Al’s table. Mia's solo performance combined with her three song sets of music from the mid 1940's and earlier gives the audience the full speak easy experience.
WHAT EVERYONE IS SAYING ABOUT AL'S PLACE: Magical. Dress for your visit to be an authentic part of this experience. Try the cake. Shop the exciting array of furniture. A night spent at Al's Place is trans-formative. - I am in awe of this venue! Located just above Stanley's Bar is the newest speakeasy in Northeast. Authenticity, charm, great service, scrumptious food, and my keyword, "ambience" above all else. - Loved this place. The singer Mia is amazing. It was a great place for after dinner drinks. Great service. If you’re greeted with an eye of suspicion at the secluded entrance, simply utter the name of a piece of furniture to the face behind the doorknocker, but don’t tell them we sent you.
